Maria Agorastou(PhD –cand., MSW/MS) is a Doctor of Philosophy candidate at the University of New Hampshire, department of Education. She also holds an MSW/MS in Social Work & Disability Policy. Maria has extensive research and work experience in the implementation of Inclusive education Models (PBIS, RTI & RENEW) in Secondary education in public schools both in the USA and in Greece. Her research interests are around Systemic Change and Inclusion, Teacher development around Ownership of Change & Inclusion, and Model Implementation. She is currently providing technical assistance to public and private schools in Greece, as well as parent groups around the topic of systems’ change and inclusive education.
Katerina Chatziantoniou is a social anthropologist. She holds a diploma in Women and Gender studies and a Master Degree in Special and Inclusive Education from the Institute of Education in London. She has worked for several years both in mainstream and special schools in Greece and the United Kingdom. Her research interest is in autism. At the moment she works as a special needs teacher in a secondary school in Greece, teaching social and professional skills to teenagers.
Eleni Kyrioti is a Mathematician specializing in Special Education,Greek Sign Language and the Braille Code. She has worked as a substitute Mathematics teacher in Parallel Support programme and in Inclusion Departments for hard of hearing children and at the Special High School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Panorama, Thessaloniki. She is currently pursuing a postgraduate programme in Special Education at the University of Macedonia.
Lila Kossyvaki is a special educational needs teacher with research and practical experience in both UK and Greece. She holds an M.Ed. and a PhD from the Autism Centre for Education and Research (ACER), University of Birmingham, UK. Currently, she is working as a research associate at the University of Birmingham and as a consultant in a special school. Lila has a strong interest in researching school-based interventions and working in close collaboration with school staff and parents.
Ntigkaki Katerina is a Speech and Language Therapist she holds a MSc in Human communication sciences and has been working in the private sector since 2006 as a Speech and Language therapist working mainly with children in the Autistic Spectrum Disorders and speech and language problems. She has also been working as a speech and language therapist in special primary schools all over Crete.
Georgia Pavlopoulou is a Doctor in Education Candidate at the Institute of Education, Department of Psychology and Human Development, University of London, and holds an MS.c in special education/psychological perspectives. Working as a scientific director of Mental Health Unit for children and adolescents with Autism and part-time scientific fellow (lecturer) at higher technological institute (ATEI ), Department of Speech and Language Therapy. Special interest in family centered intervention techniques in autism spectrum disorders.
Soultana Manesi is a graduate of the University of Athens, Department of Educational Sciences and Early Childhood Education. She has worked as a kindergarten teacher in private and public kindergartens. Soultana holds an M.Ed from Roehampton University of London, UK, and is now attending a second postgraduate course in Educational Leadership and Policy at the Open University of Cyprus. Her research interests mainly focus upon Early Childhood Education as well as Specific Learning Disabilities.
Konstantina Papaspyropoulou is a Psychologist and holds a BSc in Psychology from the University of Athens and an MA in Advertising & Marketing from Leeds University Business School, UK. Postgraduate training in: Diagnosis and Rehabilitation of children with SEN, Career Guidance and Coaching Psychology. Working experience in the business sector and in SEN settings.
Eleni Kaplani is a Special Educator. She holds a Professional Diploma in Mental Health-Special Education and she is specialized in Evaluation and Rehabilitation of children with Learning Disabilities. (University of Athens). At the moment she’s attending a postgraduate course in Special Education at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She has worked as a special teacher in the Parallel Support Programme for two years. She currently works as a Special Educator in private schools.
